Newt Gingrich: A Still Life

I don’t like Maureen Dowd any more than the next literate human, but every once in a while she nails it. I’ve never heard Gingrich’s combination of legitimate historical/political knowledge and say-anything-with-extreme-force style put better than “He plays air guitar with ideas.” Read the whole thing here, and I promise never to link to Maureen Dowd again.
